Here’s what the Balladeers were up to in October

Our Balladeer Children’s Program, which began in March, is going full swing and has hosted several great events. This program, a free benefit for Ballad Health employees, is intended to strengthen family bonds and relationships among our Ballad Health family. Activities include visits to area attractions, picnics in local parks, holiday celebrations and activities, sports activities, discount tickets for attractions or events, treats, take-home projects and much more! All team members are required to receive their annual flu vaccination by the end of the day today (Friday, Oct. 28, at 4 p.m.) unless they have an approved medical or religious exemption. Flu shots are offered at Team Member Health offices through Friday, Oct. 28. Team members can go to whatever Team Member Health office is most convenient for them. (See link to list provided below). For the ongoing health and safety of our patients, their families and our team members, all Ballad Health team members are required to receive their annual flu vaccine.  The deadline is the end of this week (Friday, Oct. 28, at 4 p.m.) for team members to get their vaccination, unless they have an approved medical or religious exemption. Ballad Health to hold new grad hiring event Oct. 13; attendees eligible for nice giveaways

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Ballad Health is hosting a hiring event that will enable recent graduates and job-seekers to learn about and apply for several open Ballad Health positions with an emphasis on clinical roles. Team members: As many of you are aware, Ballad Health’s long-standing policy has been that, each January, unused paid time off (PTO) over 100 hours is not rolled forward. We do this to encourage team members to take the time throughout the year to refresh, recharge and balance the requirements of work, instead of banking PTO time. Because of the challenges we continue to face regarding the pandemic and staffing issues, we know it has been another difficult year for team members to use their accrued PTO. Therefore, I am pleased to announce Ballad Health has decided that any unused PTO hours over 100 will be moved to the frozen bank and will be available to team members when needed.   We appreciate the amazing work done by team members across the system in stepping up and…
