Dear colleague, I am pleased to share that we are again partnering with Press Ganey Associates, a leading distributor of hospital and health system surveys for patients, to administer a Team Member Pulse Survey. This team member survey will take place from April 22 to May 6 and will consist of 10 questions that should be able to be completed in 10 minutes or less. Since the full Team Member Engagement survey last year, many action plans and initiatives have been implemented and many of you assisted in identifying opportunities for improvement for your departments. Healthcare career hiring event to be held at Holston Valley Medical Center on April 8

KINGSPORT, Tenn. — An upcoming hiring event seeks to fill multiple part-time and full-time clinical and nonclinical jobs at Holston Valley Medical Center and Indian Path Community Hospital. From noon to 4 p.m. on Monday, April 8, Ballad Health leaders will be on hand in the facility’s Heritage Conference Room, 130 W. Ravine Road, to match hopeful job seekers to open roles within the organization. Key roles being sought include registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, transporters, call center specialists and more. The Balladeers had a big month in March, filled with games and sporting events! The Balladeer program, a free benefit for Ballad Health employees, is intended to strengthen family bonds and relationships among our Ballad Health family. Now enrolling at Center for Early Learning in Norton; waitlist started for Abingdon location

The Ballad Health Center for Early Learning in Norton is now enrolling team members for childcare! The center has an opening date set for May 2024. Team members will learn more details, including tuition costs, during the enrollment process. There is a $50 registration fee. The Norton center will offer childcare Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. with extended pickup until 7:30 p.m. for team members who prearrange that option. These hours will be standard in all Ballad Health childcare centers. The center is designed to promote the holistic development of children through play-based learning, which nurtures their early literacy, numeracy and science and social-emotional skills. By providing a strong foundation, these centers prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten and future academic achievement. Rates Ballad Health team member rates are below. Ballad Health unveils three new Centers for Early Learning across Appalachian Highlands

Nearly 300 new, high-quality childcare slots created in Tennessee and Virginia JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The region’s youngest learners have new places to grow and thrive, as three new Ballad Health Centers for Early Learning open across the Appalachian Highlands. As viewers and listeners tuned in to the first day of the annual Niswonger Children’s Network Radiothon, Ballad Health announced major steps towards fulfilling its commitment of opening up to 2,000 childcare slots across the region. New Centers for Early Learning in Greeneville, Tennessee; Lebanon, Virginia; and on the campus of East Tennessee State University (ETSU) are now open, with collective capacity to serve approximately 300 children. Each center serves Ballad Health team members and community members, and each accepts children who qualify for state childcare financial assistance in Tennessee and Virginia.
