The Ballad Health Center for Early Learning in Norton is now enrolling team members for childcare! The center has an opening date set for May 2024. Team members will learn more details, including tuition costs, during the enrollment process. There is a $50 registration fee. The Norton center will offer childcare Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. with extended pickup until 7:30 p.m. for team members who prearrange that option. These hours will be standard in all Ballad Health childcare centers. The center is designed to promote the holistic development of children through play-based learning, which nurtures their early literacy, numeracy and science and social-emotional skills. Nearly 300 new, high-quality childcare slots created in Tennessee and Virginia JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The region’s youngest learners have new places to grow and thrive, as three new Ballad Health Centers for Early Learning open across the Appalachian Highlands. As viewers and listeners tuned in to the first day of the annual Niswonger Children’s Network Radiothon, Ballad Health announced major steps towards fulfilling its commitment of opening up to 2,000 childcare slots across the region. New Centers for Early Learning in Greeneville, Tennessee; Lebanon, Virginia; and on the campus of East Tennessee State University (ETSU) are now open, with collective capacity to serve approximately 300 children.
