Ballad Health supports the continuing professional education and career development of our team members by offering tuition reimbursement and scholarships for specific organizational need programs. Balladeers enjoy movie nights, with more fun events coming up!

The Balladeer Children’s Program had some great events in January, with more fun scheduled for February and March! The program, a free benefit for Ballad Health employees, is intended to strengthen family bonds and relationships among our Ballad Health family. Activities include visits to area attractions, picnics in local parks, holiday celebrations and activities, sports activities, discount tickets for attractions or events, treats, take-home projects and much more! Latest events In January and early February, the Balladeers held three movie days with a private showing of the animated musical comedy “Smallfoot” at each location – in Johnson City, Greeneville and Norton. November-December events Jingle and Mingle – Events were held in Kingsport, Johnson City, Bristol and Norton, Virginia, with delicious goodies provided. HSA contribution from Ballad Health to be deposited in your account soon

Team members enrolled in the Choice medical plan will soon receive a cash contribution from Ballad Health to their health savings accounts (HSAs), which can be used to pay for deductibles, co-insurance and other eligible out-of-pocket expenses related to their health, dental and vision plans. The amount of the January contribution is $250 for those enrolled in individual coverage and $500 for those enrolled in family coverage. We anticipate these funds to be deposited into the HSA accounts by Jan. 6, 2023. This contribution will be for the 2023 calendar year. As a reminder, you can also elect to make your own contributions into the health savings account. Contributions can be increased, decreased or stopped any time during the calendar year. Barter Theatre ticket giveaway has closed

Ballad Health is giving away a limited number of tickets to shows at Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia, this month. Click here to fill out and submit an entry form. Here are the details: Tickets are in sets of two and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Winners will be contacted through the personal email submitted to us on the entry form, and will be given a ticket code. Winners must then call the Barter Theatre ticket office at 276-628-3991 and provide the code to claim the tickets, and then they can select the show of their choice. Limited spaces available at Ballad Health childcare centers

Ballad Health offers childcare services to team members, at competitive rates — and there are a few openings right now at our three childcare centers. These childcare services are part of Ballad Health’s effort to make things easier on working families. Spaces are limited and are reserved for team members before opening the spots to the community. The available spots vary by location and are not available in all age groups. Ballad Health’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) expands to Rogersville, Big Stone Gap

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.— Ballad Health is accepting new patients in Rogersville and Big Stone Gap through the system’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), with some services available to community members in addition to Ballad Health team members. Ballad Health’s EAP has historically offered confidential behavioral health and substance abuse services to anyone covered by a Ballad Health medical plan. The program’s extension to Rogersville opens the plan up to both insured and self-pay community patients and will offer therapy and medication management services.
