Message from Debbie Dover on PTO rollover

Benefits & HR

NOTE: This message was emailed from human resources to all Ballad Health team members on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Team members:

As many of you are aware, Ballad Health’s long-standing policy has been that, each January, unused paid time off (PTO) over 100 hours is not rolled forward. We do this to encourage team members to take the time throughout the year to refresh, recharge and balance the requirements of work, instead of banking PTO time.

Because of the challenges we continue to face regarding the pandemic and staffing issues, we know it has been another difficult year for team members to use their accrued PTO. Therefore, I am pleased to announce Ballad Health has decided that any unused PTO hours over 100 will be moved to the frozen bank and will be available to team members when needed.

We appreciate the amazing work done by team members across the system in stepping up and giving more of themselves during this time.

Thank you for all you do,

Debbie Dover, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

SVP, Talent Engagement and Chief Human Resource Officer
