Our 2019 Team Member Giving Campaign in September raised nearly $986,000 and will make a huge difference in the lives of people in need across the region, including patients and their families. A thank-you message from Ballad Health Foundation That’s a wrap for the 2019 Team Member Giving Campaign. We had 3,335 team members across Ballad Health raise more than $976,000 for internal causes such as patient assistance, Niswonger Children’s Hospital and Team Member Emergency fund, as well as external causes through the United Way. That’s a significant increase in donations from the 2018 campaign, when 2,876 team members raised $941,000. Last month we wrapped up our first-ever Ballad Health Team Member Giving Campaign, and it was a big success. As a system we raised $940,000, surpassing our goal of $800,000. The generosity of our team members from across the system at all facilities was truly impressive. The campaign raised money for local United Way agencies – and all the nonprofits they support – as well as for a variety of vital Ballad Health Foundation funds that assist patients, their families and our team members. These programs assist people of all ages throughout the region in a wide range of ways, and can be lifesavers for many people. THE NUMBERS We had 2,840 team members give during the campaign. The highest rate of participation from across the system was Johnson County Community Hospital, which had an amazing 82% of its team members donate. Ballad Health Foundation is grateful for our team members whose gifts make a difference in the overall health of the Appalachian Highlands. To make it easier for you, our Ballad Health team members, to support this year’s campaign, we have made some modifications to our campaign: Team members whose 2019 commitment has been paid via ongoing payroll deduction will see their gift deductions and elections automatically carried over to the 2020 Campaign. Of course, team members can always choose to discontinue, increase, decrease, or reallocate their support at any time. Team members with ongoing payroll deductions will receive an email on Nov. 2, 2020, that allows them to make amendments to their gifts prior to Nov. 23. After that, changes can be made by contacting the foundation at foundationreply@balladhealth.org.
