Looking back: Our Team Member Giving Campaign was a big success!

Foundation

Last month we wrapped up our first-ever Ballad Health Team Member Giving Campaign, and it was a big success. As a system we raised $940,000, surpassing our goal of $800,000. The generosity of our team members from across the system at all facilities was truly impressive.

The campaign raised money for local United Way agencies – and all the nonprofits they support – as well as for a variety of vital Ballad Health Foundation funds that assist patients, their families and our team members. These programs assist people of all ages throughout the region in a wide range of ways, and can be lifesavers for many people.

THE NUMBERS

We had 2,840 team members give during the campaign.

  • The highest rate of participation from across the system was Johnson County Community Hospital, which had an amazing 82% of its team members donate.
  • Next were Hawkins County Hospital and Hancock County Hospital (combined as one) at 51% and Russell County Medical Center at 50%.
  • The campaign raised nearly $238,000 for United Way, going to nine different local offices.

Here’s a breakdown of how much our team members gave to the different Ballad Health Foundation funds:

$154,387 – Team Member Emergency Fund

$152,244 – Niswonger Children’s Hospital

$134,717 – Cancer Patient Assistance

$66,961 – Ballad Health Foundation Greatest Need

$39,510 – Patient Assistance

Thank you to everyone who donated! As one of the area’s largest employers, Ballad Health has the ability to make a huge difference in the lives of those in need throughout the region, and our donations for this campaign will do just that.
