As Ballad Health, we’ve officially merged from two health systems into one. But there are still aspects of our merger that will take a while to implement, including our health insurance plans.
It’s important to note that, until July 1, 2018, our in-network health insurance provider list has not changed yet. Providers who were out-of-network for you before the merger remain out-of-network for now. In this regard, we’re still operating on two different benefits systems for the next few months. Former Wellmont team members don’t yet have in-network access to Mountain States providers and vice versa.
Creating a comprehensive benefits and health insurance package is one of the biggest things we’re working on, and after July 1, 2018, we should have a plan that gives all benefit-eligible Ballad Health team members in-network coverage at all Ballad Health facilities.
