Balladeers ring in springtime with a host of fun activities

Benefits & HR

The Balladeers had a big month in March, filled with games and sporting events!

The Balladeer program, a free benefit for Ballad Health employees, is intended to strengthen family bonds and relationships among our Ballad Health family. Activities include visits to area attractions, picnics in local parks, holiday celebrations and activities, sports activities, discount tickets for attractions or events, treats, take-home projects and much more!

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Balladeer Children’s Program is for Ballad Health direct hires who have children between the ages 3-18 years old living in their household. They MUST live with you to qualify for the program. Read more about eligibility requirements at the end of this article!

Check out the updated Balladeer Children’s Program site on the Ballad Health intranet.

If you’re interested in joining, see the information at the bottom of this article!

March events

Family Game Night — About 100 people attended this event in Blountville, as families brought their own board games to play, plus attendees got to enjoy a Nintendo Wii set up with Mario Kart, a karaoke machine, a foosball table and a pool table. Pizza, chips, cookies and drinks were served. After a fire alarm mishap, the families also got to enjoy a visit from the Bristol City Fire Department and even got a tour of the fire truck! We’re very thankful for our first responders who keep our community safe.

BMS Truck Race — A giveaway was held for tickets to the Bristol Motor Speedway Truck Race, and on Saturday, March 16, winners attended the race. It was beautiful weather and many Balladeer families got to make their first-ever visit to BMS.

Family Bowling — Two bowling events were held – one in Johnson City and one in Norton – with more than 200 people attending overall. Families enjoyed free games of bowling, as well as pizza and drinks. (Space was limited, so families were given advance notice for when the signup would open; spots filled up within 10 minutes of registration opening!)
