NORTON, Va. – The Ballad Health Center for Early Learning in Norton will offer onsite registration on Monday and Tuesday, April 29-30, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Opening day for the center is expected this spring.

Registration is open to both team members and the public, but team members will have priority registration. The center is located at 1424 Park Avenue NW, Norton.

Tours of the facility will be available.

  • A $50 registration fee is required to secure a spot.
  • Onsite payment is by check only. Credit card payment is not accepted onsite but can be arranged later; information can be collected during the onsite registration event.
  • Once open, the Norton center will offer childcare Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. with extended pickup until 7:30 p.m. for team members who prearrange that option. These hours will be standard in all Ballad Health childcare centers.

If you are unable to make the onsite registration event, you can still fill out this interest form.

The center is designed to promote the holistic development of children through play-based learning, which nurtures their early literacy, numeracy and science and social-emotional skills. By providing a strong foundation, these centers prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten and future academic achievement.

Rates

Ballad Health team member rates are below. Team members pay a 30% reduced rate compared to non-team members. The rates include three hot meals a day, leading-edge curriculum and a guarantee to be open every weekday of the year, excluding Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Team members can fill out a short financial application to qualify for additional discounted rates that will be supplied when the center contacts you. The application will determine if certain team members benefit from state subsidy or additional scholarship programs.
