As part of a SharePoint upgrade, effective Tuesday, Jan. 31, team members will see a very minor change when they use the mileage, expense and CME reimbursement links.
The process for submitting these forms will not change, and the location for accessing them will remain the same on the Ballad Health intranet. The only difference will be for team members who have those links bookmarked as favorites/shortcuts on their computer; those bookmarks will no longer work once the upgrade takes place. Anyone who prefers to access the links that way will need to update their favorites or bookmarks with the new URL.
Pending reimbursement submissions will be available to approve on the new site. Any pending submissions older than six months will be deleted.
How do I find these reimbursement links?
As a reminder, to find the links for these types of reimbursement requests:
- Go to the Ballad Health intranet main page and click on Departments, located along the top of the page.
- From the dropdown menu of departments, click on Corporate Finance.
- On the Corporate Finance page, click on Payroll.
- On the right side, you’ll find buttons for submitting mileage reimbursement, travel reimbursement and CME.
Why are we doing this?
This is part of our overall migration of SharePoint to the new SharePoint Online version. This transition should be seamless and will hardly be noticed by most team members. The part of the migration involving Corporate Finance and these reimbursement requests will take effect Tuesday, Jan. 31.
The upgrade is necessary because the current version of SharePoint will stop receiving application updates that are needed to keep the platform working safely and properly. Moving to the new platform will allow the updates to take place, and ultimately it will provide a range of enhancements from Microsoft that will make SharePoint safer and easier to use for team members.
