Welcome to Ballad Health News! It’s your story. We’re listening.

System Updates

Welcome to Ballad Health News, your primary source for news about your health care system! With the upcoming launch of Ballad Health, this site has been created to help keep you informed as we embark on this exciting journey together.

As a member of our team, which will be more than 15,000 people strong in care sites including 21 hospitals and hundreds of outpatient care locations, you are an important part of our region. From Rogersville, Tennessee, to Lebanon, Virginia, and from Smyth County, Virginia, to Greeneville, Tennessee, more than 2 million patient contacts prove that no group of people has more of an impact on our region than you do. And as part of such a special team, you deserve to be communicated with about what is happening throughout our new organization, and to have access to relevant, up-to-date information about our people and our integration from two great health systems to one health improvement organization.

That’s what Ballad Health News is for. And you can access it through two formats:

  • The Ballad Health News website, www.BalladHealthNews.com, can be accessed any time, from any device, so it’s not restricted to being accessed only through network computers; you can see Ballad Health News on your phone, your laptop at home or your desktop computer at work.

  • The Ballad Health News newsletter will arrive in your Mountain States and Wellmont email inboxes (and eventually your Ballad Health inbox), giving you the latest news and updates by linking you back to the Ballad Health News website. Be on the lookout!

To begin with, we’ll have plenty of useful information about our merger and the new health system. We will also provide useful information over time about our benefits and policies. This will be a great place to get to know more about all the facilities that make up Ballad Health as well as the great stories that happen every day inside our system.

Here you’ll also find inspiring stories from team members and patients; recognitions and honors our team members, departments and facilities receive; information about events that are coming up; important messages from our leadership team and much more. We’ll also have video messages, photo galleries and system alerts.

We all have questions about what life will be like as part of Ballad Health. We hope Ballad Health News will serve as a great resource as we move forward to answer those questions and then to keep you engaged and informed about what’s going on across our system. After all, we’re in this together!
