Photoshoots and a play highlight Balladeers in October

Benefits & HR

The Balladeer Children’s Program had a fun and busy October, with an even busier November in the works!

The program, a free benefit for Ballad Health employees, is intended to strengthen family bonds and relationships among our Ballad Health family. Activities include visits to area attractions, picnics in local parks, holiday celebrations and activities, sports activities, discount tickets for attractions or events, treats, take-home projects and much more!

October events

  • Spooky Shindig – This event at Bristol Regional Medical Center was so much fun, with about 175 people attending! We had a magic show performed by David Taylor, food, games, craft and a photobooth! Everyone was encouraged to wear their favorite costume. Each child got to leave with a toy cauldron filled with goodies.
  • “Jack and the Beanstalk” – This performance of “Jack and the Beanstalk” was given by The Barter Players, a group of professional actors from Barter Theatre who travel across the country performing shows for younger audiences. It was held in the Monarch Auditorium at Bristol Regional, with about 105 people in attendance.
  • Family Fall Photoshoots – Eastern Ray Collective photography took these photos for us in three locations: Chuckey, Tenn., Norton, Va., and Abingdon, Va. We offered 54 spots to families, and winners were selected at random for a free 15-minute session with Linsey.
