Chief financial officer

3. Where are you from?

Kingsport

4. Education and professional background:

  • BS in accounting from University of Tennessee, Knoxville
  • MBA from East Tennessee State University
  • Work History: Columbia HCA, Mountain States Health Alliance from 1995 to 2018, Ballad Health

5. Tell us about your family:

Jon – High school sweetheart and husband of 29 years

Two sons – Jacob (age 24), Caleb (22)

6. Tell us about your pets:

None – we like to travel too much. We do enjoy keeping our “grand-dog.”

7. What’s your favorite food?

Pizza and my mom’s Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy

8. What’s your favorite movie or TV show?

Not much time for TV shows but I am a sports fan; always catch UT football, Dallas Cowboys football, and Predators hockey. Also currently catching episodes of “The Crown” on Netflix.

9. What’s your favorite book?

The Bible

10. What do you usually do on the weekend?

Catch up on laundry and household chores. Enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with family.

11. What’s something most people at work might not know about you?

My favorite places are Duck Key, Napa, and the back of my husband’s Harley

12. What inspires you to work in healthcare?

I grew up in the region. Knowing that what I do indirectly helps the patients and team members we serve is most rewarding to me.

13. What’s the most moving moment you’ve ever witnessed while working in healthcare?

The care and love provided by the team when my granddaddy was a patient at the Hospice House. They were angels on earth. The team provided excellent care to my grandfather and our entire family. They made the last days with my grandfather very special.
