Important message from Debbie Dover about FY19 pay increase

Benefits & HR

This is a message from Debbie Dover, our Ballad Health SVP, talent engagement and chief HR officer

Dear Colleague:

As the calendar changed to July 1, it also signaled the start of fiscal year 2019 – our first full fiscal year together as Ballad Health. I would like to give you an update on a few issues I hope will be helpful to you.

Debbie Dover, SVP, Talent Engagement and Chief HR Officer

First, I’m pleased to announce that the Ballad Health board of directors has approved a 2% annual pay increase for team members in FY19. Given the significant reimbursement challenges and declining inpatient utilization rates for hospitals, this increase is being made possible due to improved productivity and reductions in team member turnover. As in past years, your increase will be applied at the time of your annual performance evaluation.

Also during fiscal year 2019, you can expect to see a few other beneficial changes:

  • To support your career development, you can now transfer across Ballad Health. To view open positions, visit the Ballad Health intranet page, click on Human Resources and then click on Ballad Health careers. A single database of open positions is coming soon.
  • New Ballad Health job codes and some job title changes are in the works. This is being done to align the various job codes and job titles across the entire system. This may result in a title change for some team members. Team members whose titles are changing will be notified in advance. By standardizing the job codes and job titles, this will enable better administration of our compensation and benefits programs.
  • We will be on a common payroll system starting Jan. 1. For those not already familiar with Lawson, you will receive information on how to access your personal portal to review your paychecks, benefits and more.
  • A single computer-based learning system will be implemented this fiscal year.

Throughout the year, you may be asked to provide feedback and suggestions. Please take advantage of these opportunities, as they help your human resources leadership team to create programs and procedures that are of most benefit to you. Also know that we are available to help answer questions, clarify changes or updates, and especially to listen. If you have a concern or suggestion, don’t wait – use one of the many communication avenues available to you, including contacting me!

Sincerely,

Debbie Dover, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

SVP, Talent Engagement and Chief Human Resources Officer
