Ballad Health name badges will be available on Day 1

Day 1 of Ballad Health marks a major moment for our region and team members. To start off our new, integrated health system, all team members will receive new Ballad Health name badges on launch day.

Badges will be available in brand experience rooms, which will be hosted at each facility, office and medical practice and open to all team members. You will also receive a Ballad Health badge pull, so you can start showing your Ballad Health pride.

Please note: Your Ballad Health badge is a temporary badge and does not contain the electronic ID that you use to access buildings and other systems. You will need to thread your temporary Ballad Health badge onto the same plastic loop that you use for your current badge so the Ballad Health logo is facing out but your electronic ID badge is still present underneath. Permanent Ballad Health badges will be distributed after our security and HR systems are fully merged.

Stay tuned to Ballad Health News for more information about launch day and the experience rooms.

BALLAD HEALTH BADGE Q&A

  • What should I do with my new badge?

    • Wear it with pride! Please place it on top of your current badge.

  • What should I do with my old badge?

    • Keep it and use it as you do today – simply make sure your new Ballad Health badge is on top and facing forward.

  • How long do I need to wear two badges?

    • We are in the process of merging our security and HR systems; once that is complete, you will be issued a brand new badge that will provide access to all necessary systems. At that time, you will be asked to turn in your old badges.

  • My Ballad Health temporary badge looks different than my old badge. Why?

    • We have eliminated the use of facility names on badges as an added security measure to prevent misuse of badges that might be stolen or lost.

    • The protocol for displaying non-clinical credentials on permanent Ballad Health badges has yet to be determined.

  • What if there is a problem with my Ballad Health badge?

    • Your Ballad Health badge, sitting on top of your current badge, should not impede your day-to-day work, since you are retaining your old badge.

    • If you have a question or problem with your temporary Ballad Health badge, please contact your local human resources representative or call 423-431-HR4U.

  • What do I do if I my badge is misplaced or damaged?

    • Please contact your local human resources representative or call 423-431-HR4U.

Badges must always be worn by all team members – even those who don’t work in clinical areas – above the waist. These badges are the consistent hallmark of all Ballad Health team members, and they allow any patient or visitor to identify caregivers with a single glance.
