Meet your Ballad Health leaders: Tammy Albright

Team member profile

It’s important that we all get to know who our leaders are at Ballad Health. To help out, we’ll do an ongoing series that introduces our senior leaders and tells you a little about them as people.

Tammy Albright

2. What’s your role within Ballad Health?

CEO, Greene County Market

3. Where are you from?

I grew up in Fayetteville, Georgia, but both of my parents are originally from Hawkins County, Tennessee. Most of my relatives live in East Tennessee so this has always seemed like home to me!

4. Education and professional background:

I completed two years of undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia, then completed my BSN at East Tennessee State University in 1994. I also received an MBA from King University in 2010. I practiced most of my nursing career in ICU/cardiac ICU. I have been blessed to work in a variety of roles and settings including Johnson City Medical Center, Fort Sanders Knoxville, Saint Thomas Nashville, and of course Takoma Regional.

5. Tell us about your family:

I have been married since 1995 to Klint Albright who is a perfusionist at Johnson City Medical Center. We have two wonderful children: Lauren, age 19, sophomore at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina; and Will, 17, junior at Greeneville High School. Both of my children are blessed to be state champions; Lauren is a two-time soccer state champion and Will is a two-time soccer and one-time football state champion. Will has verbally committed to play football at the University of Tennessee- GO VOLS!

I have a West Highland Terrier named Izzy. She has memorized every commercial featuring animals and loves to bark incessantly when they come on the TV.
