Ballad Health offers continuing education, career growth opportunities

Ballad Health supports the continuing professional education and career development of our team members by offering tuition reimbursement and scholarships for specific organizational need programs. AS A REMINDER: Tuition reimbursement applications for the upcoming fiscal year (programs that start after July 1, 2024) are being accepted through Feb. 29. Scholarship requests must be submitted during the semester that you want scholarship funds to begin (example: applications for spring 2024 semester are accepted from now until your spring 2024 finals). HSA contribution from Ballad Health to be deposited into your account soon

Team members enrolled in the Choice medical plan will soon receive a cash contribution from Ballad Health to their health savings accounts (HSAs), which can be used to pay for deductibles, co-insurance and other eligible out-of-pocket expenses related to their health, dental and vision plans. The amount of the January contribution is $250 for those enrolled in individual coverage and $500 for those enrolled in EE + child(ren) or family coverage. We anticipate these funds to be deposited into the HSA accounts by Jan. 5, 2024. This contribution will be for the 2024 calendar year. As a reminder, you can also elect to make your own contributions into the health savings account. The Balladeer Children’s Program had a fun and busy December, with four different Jingle and Mingle events — each featuring Santa Claus — plus a chance to see Frosty the Snowman! The Balladeer program, a free benefit for Ballad Health employees, is intended to strengthen family bonds and relationships among our Ballad Health family. We want to provide you with essential information to ensure a smooth and effective evaluation process. Your contributions are invaluable to our organization, and your dedication to excellence is greatly appreciated. General information on the performance appraisal period: Dates: Annual performance appraisals are scheduled to take place between Sept. 18 and Nov. 30 for all Ballad Health team members. Review period: The performance evaluation will cover the 12-month period from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023. Annual wage increase: Team members hired into an annual increase-eligible position before August 2022 will receive the full 3% increase which takes effect in January 2024, as recently approved by the Ballad Health Board of Directors. Healthcare career hiring event to be held Wednesday at Laughlin Healthcare Center

GREENEVILLE, Tenn.— An upcoming hiring event seeks to fill various part-time and full-time clinical positions for Laughlin Healthcare Center. From 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, Ballad Health leaders will be on hand at the long-term care facility, 801 E. McKee St., to match hopeful job seekers to open roles. A total of 15 full-time and part-time jobs are available. Key roles being sought for Laughlin Healthcare Center include licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants and licensed physical therapy assistants. BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and Ballad Health reach new agreement

CHATTANOOGA – Ballad Health and BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BlueCross) announced Tuesday they have reached a new multi-year agreement that will enable members in Northeast Tennessee to continue receiving in-network care with Ballad Health’s providers after Dec. 31. With the new agreement, BlueCross and Ballad Health will move forward in serving members and patients, providing peace of mind to people throughout the region. Team member childcare spots still available in Greeneville; availability opens to public next week

Team member registration spots are filling up at the Ballad Health Center for Early Learning in Greeneville! Team members have until Friday, Nov. 10, to register their child before enrollment is opened to the general public. To register, please email Amy Doran, corporate director of early childhood education, at amy.doran@balladhealth.org. There is a $50 registration fee. Team member registrations are not secured until $50 registration fee has been paid. The center is located on Tusculum University’s campus and has a tentative opening date in early December. Team members can learn more details, including tuition costs, during the enrollment process or by emailing Amy. The Greeneville center will offer childcare Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. with extended pickup until 7:30 p.m. for team members who prearrange that option.
