Operative scheduling guidelines for COVID-positive patients:

For ALL patients with a recent (within the past 10 days) COVID-19 positive test:

              • Incidental/low risk: Schedule 10 days after positive test.

              • Mild to moderate symptoms without hospitalization: Schedule 4 weeks out from positive test.

              • Hospitalization: Schedule 7 weeks out from positive test.

Eye protection in all clinical settings

Eye protection is required in treatment of all patients confirmed or suspected to have COVID-19. This includes students. All other patient encounters should follow standard precautions or the appropriate isolation precautions.
