We’re excited to share several new additions to Ballad Teams, our team member mobile app, starting with B-Well powered by Sharecare.

Ballad Health is partnering with Sharecare, a digital health company, to offer more resources to help you manage your overall well-being.

The Sharecare platform provides each person – no matter where you are in your health journey – with a personalized health profile, where you can easily connect to information, programs and professionals to live your healthiest and happiest life.

Once you log in to the Ballad Teams app, you’ll have access to B-Well powered by Sharecare on the home page, as well these new features in just a few easy steps. Some of these resources include:

B-Mindful 

We are listening – and have heard how difficult these times are for you all. So please take advantage of Sharecare’s award-winning content for mindfulness and mental strength. Sharecare offers programs on breathing and relaxing, guided meditations, sleep, and more – all aimed at promoting your mental wellbeing.

You can access these tools today. Follow the instructions provided below on “How to Get Started.” Once you’re in Sharecare, go to the menu on top left and choose “Achieve,” then click “Programs.”

Health profile

The Sharecare platform allows you to access the evolving story of your health in a profile, where you can securely store and access your health data. Rest assured that any personal health information you enter into Sharecare is kept private and isn’t shared with Ballad Health. Likewise, the website is secure, with stringent measures to protect your privacy.

RealAge Test

How old are you – really? The Sharecare site provides you with a scientifically-based assessment where you identify which lifestyle factors are aging you. You’ll be asked a series of questions to assess your eating, exercise and sleep habits, along with family health history, behaviors and existing conditions. Based on your responses, the RealAge assessment offers personalized health plans you can use to lower your body’s health age and improve your overall well-being.

Green Day trackers

Sharecare offers “green day” trackers that help you monitor core health factors that influence individual health the most. Some trackers use sensors from your devices to track data, such as the number of steps you take or the amount of sleep you get. For example, you can connect your tracker to a Fitbit or Samsung Health. You can also enter manual tracking data with in-app selections and entry, such as exercise and meal tracking.

B-Well challenges and rewards

B-Well challenges leverage Green Day trackers to make it fun and easy for you to stay on track to improve your health and lower your RealAge. Later this year, we’ll be launching wellness challenges where you can see how you stack up against other challenge participants with some friendly competition. In addition to improving your health, you may earn some great prizes. You’ll hear more about challenges and rewards in the coming months.

How to get started

To access these features, select B-Well powered by Sharecare from the home screen in the Ballad Teams app, where you will be prompted to create an account. If you’re a new user, select Create an Account, enter your name, date of birth, ZIP code, gender and Team Member ID. If you have questions or trouble creating a Sharecare account, please call Sharecare Customer Service at 855-425-9705.

 

Other features on Ballad Teams

In addition to the new Sharecare platform, we’ve added several other great features team members said they would like to see in the app.

Smart Square

Clinical team members can now access their schedules conveniently from the Ballad Teams app.

Team member directory

With the team member directory, you can search for and contact all Ballad Health team members directly from the app. The search feature is available using first or last name. Search results include the team member’s position, direct supervisor, email address and phone number if on file. This feature can be found under Resources in the app.

IT Support

You now have direct access to IT Support through the home page of Ballad Teams. You can submit a ticket directly from your phone to request assistance with any technical issues and track the progress of your request from start to finish. Plus, you have the IT Service Desk phone number and email address right at your fingertips.

App personalization

Did you know you can personalize your home screen in Ballad Teams? Use the settings “gear” icon in the top left corner of the app and click Personalize. From there, you can select resources within Ballad Teams you use most often to be conveniently displayed on your home screen. Click here for FAQs on how to personalize your home screen.

If you don’t see these new features in Ballad Teams, you may need to manually update your app by following the steps below.

On the App Store:

  1. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
  2. Scroll to see pending updates and release notes.
  3. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app or tap Update All.

On Google Play:

  1. At the top right of the screen, tap the profile icon.
  2. Tap Manage apps & device. Apps with an update available are labeled Update available. You can also search for a specific app.
  3. Tap Update.
