Be on the lookout for donation boxes at our facilities to support Project Thanksgiving and Toys for Tots!

Acts of Caring
Team members at Unicoi County Community Hospital pose last holiday season with some of their Toys for Tots donations.

Ballad Health is participating in donation drives to support Toys for Tots, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee and Feeding Southwest Virginia. All hospitals will have donation boxes placed in facility admitting departments. This is a chance to make the holidays special for families and individuals in need. Please consider making a donation this holiday season!

Project Thanksgiving drives

Donation boxes should be placed in all hospitals on Tuesday, Nov. 9, with the donations and boxes picked up on Friday, Nov. 19, in order for the food to be distributed to families in need for Thanksgiving. Tennessee facilities will donate to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, while Virginia facilities will support Feeding Southwest Virginia.

Food donations should be canned or boxed items – no frozen food or produce, please.

Toys for Tots

Members of the local U.S. Marine Corps Reserve will be placing donation boxes for Toys for Tots in our hospitals soon. The donated toys should be new and unwrapped. No clothes or healthcare products, please.

Deadline for donations is Sunday, Dec. 5, when Marines will pick up the donation boxes. The toys will be given to children in need for Christmas.
